"Namanu has been my second home since I was 10 and I've been going every summer since. It's something I look forward to all year. I've met some of  my best friends through this camp and discovered my love of nature. I want others to continue experiencing the joy I've found there."

Our Camp Programs

Welcome to Camp Namanu! Tucked away in beautiful Sandy, Oregon, an hour from both Portland and Mt. Hood, Namanu covers more than 550 acres where campers, families, and community members can play and explore.

During summer, we welcome campers entering grades 2nd through 12th to our century-old summer camp program. Young people have space to engage in different types of outdoor activities that get youth into their learning zones and into nature. Our goal is to help our campers become confident leaders and stewards of their communities by providing a safe space for all campers to grow. Activities include hiking, swimming, arts & crafts, and exploring nature. As kids age through Namanu, new programs become available to them, such as archery,  overnight hikes, weaving, and high ropes challenge courses. We encourage campers to help create their own cabin schedules each week by choosing activities they’re interested in.

Throughout the year, we also offer Family Camps and Community Events such as Service Weekends and our annual Friends of Namanu alumni weekend. These are opportunities for families, alumni, and the greater Namanu community to join us in this breath-taking setting to learn, play, sing, and enjoy time in nature.
