Our Programs

Camp Fire picks up where schools leave off by providing best practices programming during the out-of-school-time hours and during school to over 2,000 youth annually. Our programs work with youth of all backgrounds, ages 5-18, with a focus on providing underserved youth with the additional support, caring adult role models, and unique learning experiences they need to succeed in school and life. Camp Fire programs:

  • Support academic achievement
  • Build social and life skills
  • Foster community engagement
  • Develop career and college readiness

School Year Programs

We partner with over 20 primarily under-resourced schools to provide students grades 1-12 with academic support, educational enrichment, service learning, and unique experiential activities. We place a special emphasis on reaching our community’s most vulnerable youth—you’ll find our programs in 20 percent of all Title 1 schools in Multnomah County.

Summer Programs – Camp Namanu

A 552-acre treasure at the foot of Mt. Hood, supports local education by providing outdoor learning experiences for over 7,500 students and families annually. Namanu programming fosters confidence, compassion, leadership, and environmental stewardship among youth.

Summer Programs – Xploregon Teen Leadership Program

We guide youth on 12-day, purpose-driven road trips across Oregon. Xploregon combats the summer learning slide while providing youth with exciting, eye-opening experiences that forge leadership, spark motivation, build civic engagement, and inspire life visioning.

Classic Club Program

It’s Camp Fire’s most traditional program and connects youth of all backgrounds with positive adult role models, volunteer and service opportunities, and individualized learning.
