Desiree Carter, Site Supervisor
Desiree Carter has a BS Degree in Workforce Education from Southern Illinois University. She has more than 20 years of experience working with young people through programs to improve student success and family participation. She has worked with programs such as Young Life, Youth For Christ and Communities In Schools in Tacoma, Washington. Desiree has worked with the Open Meadow Step Up program, designed to help students transition from 8th to 9th grade successfully. She has also worked with Self Enhancement Inc. to teach self-reliance training to middles school students in the areas of sewing and cooking classes designed to teach life skills through fractions and measurements used in everyday life. |

Aaron Colvin, Site Instructor
Aaron Colvin is a native Oregonian from Bend. He received his degree in International Studies from Southern Oregon University in 2008. For the last 6 years Aaron has been working and living in rural Guatemala as a grass-roots Development Worker building a vocational school from recycled materials. Aaron loves working with youth to realize their full potential while giving them the tools to make real differences in their communities. He and his big dog Falcor can often be found exploring Oregon’s beautiful outdoors or thinking up cool ways to reuse waste materials. |
