Beth_MacNeill_biopic Beth MacNeill, Site Supervisor
Beth has been working with youth for over six years as an English teacher, a curriculum developer, a Peace Corps Volunteer in Ukraine, and a program coordinator/instructor for youth-focused non-profit organizations. She moved to Portland from New Jersey in 2010 and has been working with after school programs in Outer SE Portland ever since. She completed her M.A. course work in International Education Development at Teachers College, Columbia University in NYC and her B.A. in English Education from Montclair State Univ. in New Jersey. Beth believes in the power of youth to affect positive social change in both their local and global communities. In her free time, you can find Beth exploring new hiking trails, enjoying an evening picnic with friends, reading a book in her front yard, or discovering Portland’s gently used treasures at a nearby garage sale.
Christine_Jackson_biopic Christine Jackson, Site Instructor
Christine Jackson is a native Oregonian, born and raised in the Portland Metro area. She attended grade school in East County and college at Marylhurst University. Growing up within our unique community has provided her with a distinct affinity for working towards youth progress in our very own neighborhoods. Christine has worked with Camp Fire in many different capacities over the years: as an instructor, program staff, and director for programs throughout Oregon and Alaska. She enjoys spending her free time exploring the outdoors with her dog, Gordy.
