Mark Bennett, Site Supervisor
Coming from Salt Lake City, Utah, Mark is a born Utahn, but as a graduate of Willamette University in Salem, Oregon, he considers himself a transplant Oregonian. His degrees in Spanish and International studies, and minor in Economics, have sent him to Spain, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica and beyond to work, study and play. He is passionate about community development and environmental conservation, in which education equality plays an enormous role. Skiing, hiking, biking, camping, photography, surfing, Spanish, cooking and crocheting are all keywords that frequent his life. |

Julia Kirkpatrick, Site Instructor
Julia is a Southeast Portland native with a BA in Arts & Letters at Portland State University. Julia has worked with college freshmen as a student mentor and writing tutor and high-school students as a parenting instructor and GED tutor. Julia believes in educational equity, and is excited to further her skills in Campfire’s middle school program. Julia is an avid reader, passionate traveler, and persistent cyclist (despite the rain). |
